Laurel's first 4th of July in Escanaba, MI

For the last few years Chris and I have traveled to Escanaba, MI to spend time with my family for the 4th of July and this year it was extra special. Laurel spent her first 4th of July with the Peterson/Scateni families, my Aunt and Uncle and she got to meet her 2nd cousin Joey. It was wonderful to spend so much time with our family. We had lots of time to play, explore and hang out together. Thanks for a great vacation Mom and Dad!

Laurel had her first camping trip, well part of her first camping trip. We tried to take her camping and she didn't love sleeping in the great out doors. Ha ha! Luckily we were only 20 miles from home so we drove home and had a restful night of sleep in our own beds. However, she had a great time playing with all the kids and rolling around in the tent.

Laurel's is CRAWLING...she has been scooting for several months now, but mostly backwards. Now she crawling forward and she is speedy and determined. We are baby proofing and right now she is playing in the kitchen with some spoons and Tupperware and oh and now some pasta....she just crawled into the pantry. We are having so much fun watching her explore and I can tell by the giant smile on her face that she is quite proud of her exploring as well.
